As the Sun rises on a fall morning, the air, thick and cool with moisture, dusts the land with dew drops. In those early moments of calm, each plant glistens and reflects the changing colors of the sunrise, in every drop, on every petal, and on every leaf. Looking closely amongst the foliage Dragonflies are hunkered down waiting to be revived by the morning sun, and when they do, the Butterflies take flight alongside them in an eruption of life.

Touch capacitive leaf sculptures that light up LED mushroom hot glue sculptures on device enclosure. Bronze cast mushroom sculptures ground the circuit. Mushrooms originally made from 3D printed supports, hot glue, acorn “hats”, dried oranges, and wax. Leaves are made from cardstock, wire, fabric, aluminum, copper tape, and paint. The device enclosure is made from laser cut birch wood with painted and copper foiled details. Device controlled with a teensy 3.2 using Arduino IDE.
